Mark and I are on a culinary vacation for the next six days, and we’re here in Putney, Vermont at the Krasners’ barn. These are the friendly fowl that greeted us yesterday from the backyard (notice the black + white spotted “poodle chickens” strutting around with tufts on their heads).
